Defining the ideals of adjusting through integrity
At Upright Claims, we ensure 100% Integrity, in every aspect of our work. While strictly observing to the Code of Ethics for Canadian Insurance Professionals as well as those established by the Ontario Insurance Adjusters Association, we pay particular attention to Billing Integrity.
We believe that every independent insurance adjuster employee’s time worked should be monitored consistent with Section 15 of Ontario’s Employment Standards Act 2000. By doing so and comparing it with daily adjuster time billed, we’re able to ensure that both fairness and honesty is being upheld.
To go one step further, we have established “Stopwatch Billing”. At the commencement of every activity designed to bring a file forward, we physically “stopwatch” our time. With any interruption, the stopwatch is discontinued and resumed only when our work continues.
Finally, we adhere to “3 Minute Interval Billing”. While many professional organizations have conventionally billed in increments of 6 minutes, our position is that this unfairly rounds up activities that ended at the 1 or 2 minute interval mark. With “3 Minute Interval Billing”, our goal is to ensure even greater invoiced accuracy.
